Everyone has heard of a grandfather clock, but did you know there is also a grandmother clock?

A grandmother clock is usually a longcase clock that is 6’ 3” tall or less. Most of them are between 5′ 4″ and 5′ 9″ .

 There are even granddaughter clocks.  These are longcase clocks that are less than 5′ 2″ tall and made from lower quality woods such as veneered plywood.
